It's a mess out there
It's snowing really hard. So hard the streetcar stopped working. Nicole phoned me and asked for a ride. It took me 45 minutes to get to her, and 45 Min's home. Everything is slippery. Everyone is driving very careful. There aren't enough trucks spreading salt on the roads. There aren't enough snow plows. I was suppose to go to Thomas' class party. I called Juergen and asked him to go. I don't have snow tires on my car(they are all weather tires but not really snow tires). I didn't want to drive home after another hour of snow fall. Thomas also takes the street car, so one of us needed to pick him up anyway. Thank God Juergen was able to move some meetings around. I'm sure the people at work were anxious to get home before things get more dangerous. It's not looking very good for a trip to North Germany on Christmas. It's suppose to get warm, but then snow again. We will have to play it by ear. I just feel happy to get back home in one piece. I pray Jessica gets home safely too. She comes on a school bus. We just aren't use to so much snow here. Many parts of the country have already run out of salt for there streets. The airports and trains are also experiencing delays and cancellations. I'm OK if we have to stay home. I don't want to take any chances out there...it's such a mess! Juergen's brother and sister can spend Christmas with Richard (Juergen's dad). Maybe we can still go up, but it's not looking good.
