Later…we ate lunch at IKEA in Holland. The kids are stressed out. I’m ready to turn back and forget the whole stupid idea!
Later…I’m sitting in the car with Jessica and Nicole. We are on a car ferry somewhere in the North Atlantic. Jessica is deadly afraid of boats.
Who ever said “it’s the journey not the destination” never spent 9 hours in the back of an overcrowded minivan surrounded by 5 bored kids. Trust me people; it is the destination that counts! And if you read my blog for spiritual input let me preach it….IT IS THE DESTINATION!!!
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
We are here! It's really nice! Praise God we are here!!!
